Director of Operations

Chris Holton has been a part of BankTEL since 2006, when he started with the company as a support and implementation representative. Chris came to BankTEL shortly after graduating from Itawamba Community College with an Associates of Applied Sciences. From implementations, he moved on to programming and software development and was eventually promoted to Support and Data Integrity Manager.

These roles prepared him for his current role as Director of Operations, which means he now supervises many of the teams he worked with throughout his BankTEL journey.

As Director of Operations, Chris oversees customer support, software implementation, installation and data migration. His support staff handles an average of 100 requests a day, and ultimately, Chris is responsible for ensuring that BankTEL meets its goal of responding to clients within 15 minutes. The implementation team may perform over 1,000 data migrations in a year, and Chris ensures that these migrations are prompt and precise, with minimal disruption to the client’s work week.

On of the things Chris most appreciates about BankTEL is the company’s approach to customer support. BankTEL is a place where “the customer first” goes beyond “something that’s nice to put on a billboard,” he says. “At BankTEL, there is a true commitment to considering customers’ input and building a better software.”

In his early days at BankTEL, Chris was inspired by founder Boyce Adams Sr.’s humility, productivity and respect for both clients and employees. Chris noticed that Boyce Sr. would do whatever needed doing, whether that was emptying trash or trouble-shooting with a client.

“I think that mentality is why we’ve grown as fast as we have, and I see that mentality now in our new C.E.O., Boyce Jr.,” Chris says. He’s proud to be part of a company that clients enjoy partnering with.

When Chris isn’t working, he’s outside, playing ball with his daughter and son or cheering at one of their games.
