Senior Vice President
Boyce E. Adams, Jr. currently serves as Senior Vice President of BankTEL, an AvidXchange company. He previously served as President and CEO of BankTEL, the global leader in accounting software for financial institutions. In this role, Boyce leads the day-to-day operations of a company that has the largest US market share in the industry. There are nearly 5,000 US banks. One out of five uses BankTEL’s software.
Since Boyce joined the company full-time in 2009, BankTEL has added over 1,200 clients. Now it serves over 1,700 active financial institutions, with clients in ten countries.
Since 2017, Boyce has managed BankTEL’s transition to its flagship cloud service, ASCEND. Over 90 percent of BankTEL’s clients have migrated to this new generation system.
Boyce is firmly committed to providing high-value, innovative, reliable technology and proven customer service to BankTEL clients. As cybersecurity breaches continue to threaten financial institutions, Boyce has led his team to proactively partner with clients in developing anti-fraud solutions.
Boyce came to BankTEL from Washington, D.C., where he worked in President George W. Bush’s White House, on appointments to finance and regulatory agencies. In this position, Boyce worked closely with the Federal Reserve, the Department of the Treasury, and other government agencies.
Boyce then served as an advisor to the Federal Aviation Administrator, Bobby Sturgell, helping with the initial transformation of the National Airspace System into its current, more environmentally-friendly iteration, Next Generation Transportation System. Boyce’s insight as a certified flight instructor and his experience as a commercial pilot, with over 3,000 flight hours, served him well in this role.
Boyce holds a BA from Vanderbilt University, where he was a part of the prestigious community-service oriented Ingram Scholarship Program. An avid explorer and traveler, Boyce has logged adventures on all seven continents and over 100 countries. In addition to his aviation experience, Boyce is a rescue scuba diver and holds his monohull sailboat captain’s license.
